Garry is a retired professor of community and regional planning. He was also a practicing planner for over 35 years and a mentor trainer and TOP®-certified (Technology of Participation) group facilitator.
He and his wife live in western North Carolina.
They have owned four RVs over the past 50 years. Their first RV experience was a 1970s pop-up camper trailer (pulled by a Chevrolet Vega wagon). They replaced the trailer with a Volkswagen pop-up Westfalia (which also served as a second family vehicle). After almost a 30-year period without an RV, they purchased an Airstream Interstate Class B motorhome, attended their first rally event, quickly became enamored with the RV motorhome lifestyle, and now own a Leisure Travel Class C Unity. They enjoy touring and try to include grandchildren as much as possible.
